We meant it
when we picked
the name.
Our coaches come from college athletics, strength and conditioning, and health sciences, with more than 40 years of combined experience. Most of that time has been spent with regular people, not pro athletes.
We've trained people coming back from injuries, getting ready for a first race, losing 60 pounds, and returning after years away from the gym. There's no house method we put everyone through. We start with where you are and adjust as you go.
We keep the studio small on purpose. You train with the same coach every week, and they know your history, your schedule, and what you were lifting last month.
How It Works
Fill out the short fitness form. One of the founders reads it and pairs you with the coach who fits your goals and schedule. Then we book your first session.
Two ways
to train.
One-on-One Personal Training
Private sessions in the studio. Your coach plans each workout ahead of time, watches your form on every set, and changes the plan when something hurts or gets too easy. Most clients come two or three times a week.
Most PopularOnline Training
For clients who travel, work odd hours, or live outside Boston. You get a written program, live video sessions with your coach, and regular check-ins, with the same coach you'd have in the studio.

founders.
"Born and raised in Boston. Started at 11 years old with 12-pound dumbbells doing bicep curls. That's all I knew. Discovered the real thing playing college football, and it never stopped."
"My dad was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I was unhealthy too, and that was the wake-up call. Studying health sciences and playing hockey at UMass Boston turned it into a career, and a mission."

on us.
Fill out the short form and we'll pair you with a coach. Your first session is a full workout at the studio, free. If it's a fit, we'll talk about a schedule. If not, no hard feelings.

What are your hours?
We train clients from 5 AM to 10 PM Monday through Friday, and 7 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday. All sessions are by appointment.
Is Elite Training Group a personal training studio or a gym?
We're a personal training studio, not a membership gym. Every session is private: one certified coach, one client, and a program written around your goals.
Who are the trainers at ETG?
ETG was founded by Stephan Stewart, an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and former college football player, and Kris Kranzky, a CSCS with a B.S. in Exercise and Health Science from UMass Boston. Our team brings more than 40 years of combined coaching experience.
How do you match me with a trainer?
You fill out a short fitness form on our site. One of the founders reads it and pairs you with the coach who fits your goals, schedule, and starting point.
Who do you train?
Mostly regular people, not pro athletes. Our clients include people coming back from injuries, training for a first race, losing significant weight, and returning to exercise after years away.
Can I train with ETG online if I don't live in Boston?
Yes. Our online coaching is fully one-on-one, with live video sessions, written programs, and regular check-ins, so remote clients get the same structure as people training in the studio.
Is ETG convenient from Back Bay, Bay Village, and Chinatown?
Yes. Clients come to us from Back Bay, Bay Village, Chinatown, Roxbury, Dorchester, and Fenway. There's street parking on Washington Street, and the Silver Line's East Berkeley Street stop is nearby.
